Main objective of this research theme is to analyse how conditions can be created for people’s participation and engagement in sustainable place-shaping, contributing to self-efficacy, social innovation and social cohesion within varied contexts on different scales. Inclusive Places focuses on the ‘human factor’, how people appreciate and value places, express agency and take responsibility in sustainable places and how they reflect on and negotiate the conditions of engagement in global processes.
